Louis Leterrier (born June 17, 1973) was a French film director is famous including Transporter 2 movie, starring Jason Statham, and Unleashed, a thriller starring Jet Li and Morgan Freeman, and The Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton.
Leterrier is a friend of Luc Besson, and has worked with him on several projects.
Leterrier was born in Paris, France, the son of director François Leterrier. He was guided by her mother’s artistic. Leterrier began as a drummer in the band before experimenting with short films. At age 18, after some training in advertising and publicity, he left France to study theater at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
In 1997, he helped Jean-Pierre Jeunet on the set of Alien: Resurrection. On his return to France, he worked with Luc Besson in the production of advertisements for Internet Club and L’Oréal and Joan of Arc movie. He has also worked, as a second assistant director, with the production of Alain Chabat Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cléopâtre.
Then in 2002, Louis Leterrier directed The Transporter, an action movie starring Jason Statham – although the U.S. release list as artistic director and as director Corey Yuen, the opening credits gave the European release and action director Yuen list as a director. Leterrier and go “cage” Besson, with Chris Nahon and Pierre Morel, and directed Jet Li in Unleashed, features solo debut, full length martial arts movie . Luc Besson and then entrusted him with the control Transporter 2 director, arranged this time in Miami.
In the year 2008, as part of the current wave of French directors are involved by Hollywood, he directed the first big budget American film, The Incredible Hulk. Latest project is a remake of Clash of the Titans, from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and produced by Warner Bros. It is currently post-production and scheduled for release on March 26, 2010. On January 28, 2010 announced that he had with Warner Brothers plans a trilogy of Clash of the Titans franchise.
