Josh Lucas (born Joshua Lucas Easy Dent Maurer; June 20, 1971) son of Michele (née LeFevre), a nurse midwife, and Don Maurer, an ER doctor. Is an American actor. He has appeared in the movie Glory Road, A Beautiful Mind and Poseidon, among others

Lucas and his younger brothers, two sisters and a brother, Devin, age 13, he lived in three different locations, including the Isle of Palms and Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina. His parents organized campaigns against nuclear power. His mother attended Emerson College with Jay Leno. The family eventually settled in the city of Gig Harbor, Washington. He studied at the High School Kopachuck. He graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 1989, where he acted in high school play. He did not attend college to pursue his acting career.

Lucas began his career when he was 19, after moving to Hollywood after graduating high school. He appeared as a guest star on several TV sitcoms in the early twenties, including Fox’s “True Colors” and “Parker Lewis Can not Lose,” a family drama “Life Goes On,” and the CBS private-eye show “Jake and the Fatman.
