Jonathan Daniel “Jon” Hamm (born March 10, 1971) is an American actor of all his work in television roles. For most of the mid-1990s, he lived in Los Angeles as a struggling, unemployed actor. He appeared in several television series roles, including Providence, The Division, What About Brian, and Related. In 2000 he made his debut in the movie Clint Eastwood’s Space Cowboys space adventure. The next year, Hamm appeared in the independent comedy Kissing Jessica Stein (2001) in a supporting role.

Deborah and Dan Hamm Hamm is a parent. Her parents divorced when he was two years old, and he lived with his mother until he was diagnosed with cancer when he was 10 years old. Though doctors removed two-thirds of the large intestine, he died shortly after and Hamm lives with his father, but a few years after his father fell ill and died when Hamm was 20. He said that teachers and parents filled friends as parental figures.

Hamm attended the John Burroughs School in Ladue, Missouri, a private academy, where he became a member of the football, baseball, and swimming teams. When Hamm was 16, he played in the drama, and enjoy the experience. After graduating in 1989, he enrolled at the University of Texas, but dropped out during the second year, after the passing of his father. Hamm moved back home to attend the University of Missouri, where he studied English. Hamm answered an ad from a company looking for players in the theater production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, audition, and a role in production.

After graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Hamm returned to teach at his high school as a sign of payment for school support teenagers for years. He worked at the school as a faculty drama teacher.

Hamm gain worldwide recognition for playing advertising executive Don Draper in the AMC drama series Mad Men, the first in July 2007. His appearance earned him a Golden Globe Award in the category of Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2008. Besides appeared in Mad Men, he was shown in the 2008 sci-fi remake The Day the Earth Stood Still and his first major role in the independent thriller Stolen 2010.
